Pax Druviana

So you might be reading this and thinking “What the heck is Pax Druviana?” Well since you have gotten this far, I am going to assume you want to know. Pax Druviana is a movement, an idea for making a better world. Well yea, that really narrows it down doesn’t it? Well, just like every other idealist movement, it’s about making the world a little bit better.

It is based on an ideology called Druvianism. That’s number two for weird unfamiliar words, but just think about it for a second. Think about a word, any word, and stare at it for a good minute or two. Did it look weird after a while? Well, that is probably because a lot of the words we use, we only look at for a few seconds - if we look at them at all. We never spend time to think about where that word comes from, or why it is spelled the way it is. That is, unless we are asked about it, like just now. So let’s hope with that said, a word like Druvianism or Pax Druviana won’t really throw you off – or any other word for that matter.

Druvianism at its very core and most simplest form is a Second Enlightenment Movement. With technology as it is now, humanity is capable of communicating instantly, in mere seconds, with anyone around the world. Pretty amazing really, if you think about it. What an accomplishment! Just think, if humans are able to perform things like going to the moon, discovering how the universe works on very detailed levels, and able to build things like the pyramids, the great wall, and the internet, just imagine what humanity is capable of if we really put our minds to it. If there is one thing in the world you could wish for, it would probably have to do something with having a better life. The possibility of having a better life is what keeps us going every day, the lack of such possibility is what keeps us from going on and ultimately leads to death.

So, if every living, sane, non-depressed person in the world just came together and all worked unanimously for having better collective lives, just imagine the possibilities. Now obviously that won’t happen overnight, and it certainly won’t happen in the next few years. The reasons are because of humanity itself, humanity at its very center is a beast.

If humanity was not a beast, then there would be no need for society at all? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Why does society exist? Well the answer is simple. Humans are beasts, and society is what cages us. Pretty harsh but true. However, like all beasts, if caged properly and for long enough, eventually that beast will become tame and its cage no longer a necessity. So is true with humanity: under ideal circumstances, overtime humanity will no longer need a society.

Before we go on further, lets think about what was just said. You are probably doubting in your mind that you need a cage. Well, you personally do not need a cage. However, you, your friends, your relatives and every other living person on this earth, as a collective whole does. If you still need convincing just look at history. In the early stages of human evolution, our society was very weak if present at all. However, as time progressed we formed tribes, localities, and then later on civilizations with complex government structures. However as time further progressed humanity started thinking, that there is a lot of thought that goes into this society business, and we started coming up with written constitutions that provided – in writing – the terms to what many would call a social contract. So basically, in the beginning we had a very weak cage thus we as humans were very untamed. However as our society progress (the cage strengthening) humanity became more sophisticated.

So, if you agree with what is said, lets perform a thought experiment. Suppose in the future humanity has lived under a proper cage for several centuries. Well, then by theory, humanity will no longer need its cage so the cage will dissolve. However, a lion does not just become tamed by sitting in a cage, it needs someone to help it get that way. The cage is only a platform to build off of. Even when it is tame, the cage doesn’t just disappear, someone has to let that lion out of its cage. So is true with humanity. Humanity will require individuals to step up, who will want to help humanity become more tame, sophisticated and intelligent. Then when the time comes, individuals will lead us out of the cage – which we then discover has been open the whole time. We were so distracted by the bars, we didn’t even check to see if it was locked shut.

Now, obviously this is speaking very symbolically, but hopefully you get the picture. Whether you agree with the above statements or not is completely irrelevant to what Pax Druviana is, and seeks to become. It is in this writing for a reason, to make you think. We as a society think less and less as our days go by. Instead we get things to think for us. We have lost our creativity, and I blame a lot of this on those in charge of our society. We have spiraled into a situation where we are so busy, that the only free time we have is wasted. It is wasted on things that do not matter. Luxuries, in the hope that with enough money we can have a better life. You cannot find happiness on any aisle in Wal-Mart, and you certainly can't find it on any menu. Happiness is found in only one place, and that is in the heart.

So that brings us to the next point. Pax Druviana is about happiness. We as a people are trying to make our lives better, and the best way to do that is to be happy. Happy people don’t start wars, and they don’t commit crimes. There is no law you can make that will make people happy. The only person that can tell you how to be happy is yourself.

Pax Druviana is about expression. Expressing the mind through art. Art provokes thought, and thought derives from questions. We as a people need to ask more questions. Question everyone and everything around you. If you ask enough of the right questions, eventually you will find your answer. But most of all we should be questioning those who are in charge of our society. As what could be more important than the legislation and actions that directly or indirectly relate to everything in your life? It is our duty as citizens to question the government, and if we don’t we only open ourselves to domination and oppression.

This leads to the next area of Pax Druviana, observation. Think about this for a minute: You are a mirror to a thousand eyes. Imagine, a thousand people looking at you, in order to look at themselves. Do you believe it to be true? Do you ever get the feeling that people are staring at you? I want you to count tomorrow on your daily routine how many times you see someone look at you. Then the next day I want you to count how many times you look at other people. What you will discover is that we observe others in order to observe our true selves. Observation is key to a functional, happy society. The government needs to be under a very watchful eye - the people. After all nowadays the government has their eye on you; why shouldn’t you return the favor?

So let’s do a recap. Pax Druviana is a movement to create an ideal, functional structure to cage humanity. So that one day the cage will no longer be needed and we can live in harmony as a sophisticated populace. To create a happy, expressive, and attentive society. With free thinking individuals who care about the common man, and seek to do everything in their power to make a better world. Well that sounds all fine and good but how do we go about doing that?

Before we can do anything, we need to understand where we are currently. Society takes several cycles, these are cycles in social evolution. First there is infancy: vulnerable, immature and whiny. Thus starting the social cycle, until reaching the end in which there is total harmony before the death of society. The cycle starts with domination, one group seeks to dominate another because of one plain and simple reason – they can. Years of domination and oppression follow suite with a revolution, in which the tyrant or tyrants are dethroned. Then one of two possibilities usually happen. Option One, the preceding tyranny is replaced by another which is ruled by humans (Automatic Authority) bringing us back to square one. Or Option Two, the preceding tyranny is replaced by a republic in which the rule derives from laws (Manual Authority) made by a large group of people – usually periodically chosen by the populace. All republics eventually become corrupt, in which they are replaced by tyrants. Ours not excluded.

Now these cycles repeat over and over again. From tyranny to tyranny, tyranny to republic, or republic to tyranny. As a side effect of all of this revolting and changing, comes cultural change. Every so often an enlightenment is sparked, in which thought circulates and philosophers pop up in the midst. This has happened several times in human history, and is happening this very second. This is usually triggered by a new discovery, which promotes human interests in the greater abstract things in life.

So, we are at a republic, one of the later stages of it at that. We now have two options, we can either a choose to revolt and replace it with a tyranny. Or we can enter that last stage of social evolution. This has been referred to as the Age of Aquarius, a prophesized and astrologically predicted period of humanity in which harmony and peace reigns supreme. This is theoretically, the last stage in society, there is nothing further that can be advanced upon and is the most stable form of social order. What comes after this age? Society dies, it is no longer needed. The last stage has gotten us where we needed to be, and now we can live without societies' order being replaced by natural order.

Necessity is always key to motivation. That necessity comes natural by this point. We no longer need to be told what to do, as it just comes naturally. No one is told they need to work, they work because they want to help each other, and they want to make the universe better. No one argues because everyone understands each other perfectly, arguments result from disagreement and disagreement results from something to disagree about. There is no disagreement because of this enlightened state humans are in. We are so enlightened at this point that we can sense what others are thinking about or feeling just by looking at them. Now obviously such a state of mankind is far in the future, but in order to get there we have to be on the right track. Man, unfortunately, is always most willing to take the path of least resistance; what we must do is create a detour.

That detour starts with intelligence. Intelligence is the combination of knowledge and wisdom. We as a society are increasing with knowledge, but lacking in wisdom. Thus the reason for a second enlightenment age. We need more wisdom in our lives and we have to start by thinking. If we are always so busy all the time, then how can we think? We have to start by relaxing, and spending time just thinking. Thinking about anything, stupid things and pointless things. Then from there we can think about the stuff that really matters. As societies' intelligence increases, so will our passion to move forward.

We can increase societies’ intelligence very easily. The road to intelligence is paved on thought, all you have to do is just think. Spend some time out of your day thinking and asking the right type of questions. Once you have done that, you will see yourself gaining more knowledge and wisdom. You don’t have to be old to be wise, you just have to observe, and ask yourself why?

Now we enter the next step. We understand where we are, and we have a deep understanding of where we need to be. So how do we do it? It is called Druvianism. Remember that word you heard earlier? Well this is it. Druvianism is a detailed government structure that outlines how society can govern itself – gaining independence and intelligence. Druvianism as a government is a Direct Democracy. Now, before you go off blabbing about how Direct Democracy will not work just ask yourself this. Why do we have a representative democracy?

One answer is because not everyone can go to Congress everyday and vote on bills. Well we were not able to a few hundred years ago, but we sure can now. Sitting from home anyone can vote on whatever they want to, and under a system that was designed for that very purpose, voting could be as easy as waking up and brushing your teeth in the morning.

A more relevant answer is because the common man is not capable of making decisions effecting the entire nation. Well I might agree with that, except for one thing – In order to be subjected to the will of the common man, that man must first be common. That means we cannot have these huge gaps in education. Education is vital to intelligence, and vital to a functional direct democracy.

In order for a child to become a successful adult, that child must first be a successful child. Instead of doing everything for your kid and keeping them out of danger yourself, think for a second if it would be better for that child to learn some things on his/her own? If children learn at an early age that they are independent, then when they get to school they will have a more open understanding of education. If you go into school thinking that the only knowledge you will get is from a teacher, then you are missing out on a whole host of knowledge.

A teacher should not be meant to teach you everything you need to know. A teacher should be meant to make you want to learn everything you need to know. That means wanting not just to learn what is on a test, but everything on the test and more. Schools should be inspiring children to learn, not inspiring children to learn everything on a list that comes from the state's "Required Learning". Knowledge should have no boundaries, then and only then will we have a more intelligent society.

Liberty can come in many different shapes and sizes, but there is only one that truly fits all of them – direct democracy. This is because it forces the society to be free. It shows people the necessity of compromise and why it is so important for societies to have a strong democratic state. The importance of majority rule and minority rights.

Suppose in an apathetic society like ours, people decide not to vote. First and foremost, it is far better to have the ability to do something and choose not to, than to relinquish that right and loose all possibility of choice. That said, a society with direct democracy will understand why it is important for people to participate. Besides, it will be far easier to vote than it would to not vote. So then you may run into the problem of people voting for the sake of voting and not putting any thought into their vote.

This can be overcome very easily, because with the right technology anything is possible. Suppose in the next twenty to thirty years it becomes possible for you to have a computer in every single room, that interacts easily with each room. There is a microphone on the ceiling, and a screen on the wall. This would mean that no matter where you are in your house, you will be connected to a cornucopia of information. Not to mention if such a system existed, with each possibility of choice, there would be a wide variety of media that would educate the individual on what he/she was voting on.

Problem solved? Not quite, people can still be bribed. This is why corporations should be taken out of the equation. If there were no corporations to benefit from certain policies, then they would not care what happens – most likely because they would not exist at all. Instead business affairs should be accomplished by small teams, corporations only stand to benefit the few and not the whole – in the long run. These small teams would be high in competition and low in collusion. With the whole nation replacing the function of a corporation, these business teams could operate identically to how project teams operate in a large corporation. The only difference is instead of many corporations competing with each other, it is one massive corporation competing within itself.

We as a people are liquid, we mold to the shape of our container. Let us hope that the container is something we all want it to be. Those who remain eccentric enough to believe they can change the world, usually do. If you have a desire to change the world, and you think it can be better, then why not do everything in your power to make it so? After all, the greatest obstacles in life we must overcome exist in our minds.

The above is actually a very brief explanation on Druvianism. If you have found it interesting, I suggest you visit the Druvianism website for more information. Look out for the upcoming launch of the Pax Druviana website!

The Great Awakening

The world we live in is a lie. Everything we hold to be true and dear is all an illusion to the reality of this hypocracy. "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing." We can sit here all day discussing about how evil and corrupt the world is. Ten thousand men could be awakened in one day, but until we do something we are all still asleep. This is why we must act, what I call - the great awakening - is only the beginning. It is a step into the right direction. However, every second we do nothing, evil has won.

Druvianism is a movement for humanity. To inspire in the minds of everyone all over the world, that a better world is possible. If one man could do one thing to make the world a better place - maybe not for just himself, but indeed everyone - then it should be his duty to do so. I believe it is the duty of all of us, to do everything in our power to make the world a better place to live in - even if it is just a little bit - it is worth fighting for. Life is too precious to let it waste to nothing. After billions of years we are above all, nature’s greatest creation.

The world must wake up from the deep slumber we have fallen into. The media is the outlet of power for the tyrants they cloud. Do not be misguided by men entrapped in ignorance, and enlighten yourself and seek the truth. Art is quite possible the most precious gift humans can offer. I think to myself, how a species that can create something so beautiful as art, could also be the same species that ravages and molests its own planet in a sick perversion of self-gain and power.

A day will come when humanity finds peace. A day will come when we can find harmony in nature. A day will come when we can find that little piece of us in all mankind - that makes us all brothers. However until that day comes, we must prevail. We must withstand this barrage of fate in which we have had to defend our beliefs more than ever. Because we are stronger than our enemies, because what we represent is more than the reach of guns and bombs. What we represent is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.
