 So I booted up my computer last night, and to my surprise there was a little window that popped up before windows would open saying that I needed to activate windows--something about me having upgraded my hardware. Anyhow, I thought okay well I will just click the little online thing and be done with it. Nope! My internet connection was done, so I had to do it by phone. I call up the support line for the United States and an automated woman asks me for an installation code. But, there isn't one on my window. Of all times for windows to screw up, it screws up while it is activating itself. So, I wait until an Indian woman gets on the line and she tells me to do everything I just did--typed in my serial key and updated it which was supposed to generate a new installation ID. Of course that didn't work, so she puts me on hold for about a 20 minutes for some idiot to get on the line to tell me that the tech guys were closed until 9 am. So, they basically made me wait all that time to tell me that they couldn't do anything. I can't stand Microsoft. Labels: blog |
